Exciting News: “A Taste for Lunacy” Named Semifinalist at Mindfield Film Festival Albuquerque!
The laurels keep coming!
I’m thrilled to share that my screenplay, A Taste for Lunacy, has been selected as a Semifinalist at the Mindfield Film Festival in Albuquerque.
Mindfield is a respected indie festival—recognized for its supportive creative community and commitment to bold, distinctive voices in both film and screenwriting. The selection means a great deal to me, especially as this script has its roots in exploring the shadowy intersections of medicine, memory, and moral ambiguity.
For those unfamiliar, A Taste for Lunacy dives deep into the psychological unraveling of a disgraced neurosurgeon trapped within a decaying asylum. Drawing on real medical history and speculative horror, it’s a story about power, addiction, and redemption—set against the backdrop of 1950s California’s forgotten corridors.
This recognition from Mindfield is a wonderful affirmation that risky, genre-blending work can find a home—and an audience—on the festival circuit. I’m grateful to the festival team and jurors for supporting fresh stories and emerging writers.
Thank you to everyone who has cheered me on, critiqued early drafts, or simply asked “what’s next with the script?” Your support has been invaluable.
Stay tuned for more festival updates, new writing projects, and a few behind-the-scenes peeks at A Taste for Lunacy as it winds its way through the competition circuit.
